Monday Mindfulness

Cultivating Strength, Joy, Calm & Resilience

About this Blog

Born out of an interest in nurturing the professional and personal growth of her employees at a progressive preschool in Washington, DC, Lisa Danahy began sending emails each Monday morning to all of the school’s staff and faculty.  Her hope was that the emails would arrive early in their mailboxes as they groggily and maybe even grumpily said good-bye to their weekends and prepared for the busy work week ahead of them.

Since 2007, Lisa has shared personally created inspirational thoughts, motivational words, quotes, and artwork on which to reflect, ponder, and most importantly launch from into a space of personal empowerment with the ultimate goal of achieving better balance and well-being in all aspects of life.

And, so, may you find strength, joy and resilience in the messages shared with you through this blog and may it bring us together as a community of active, aware, compassionate, and joyful citizens.

Monday Mindfulness is grounded in and provides the groundwork for the INA Wellness community-centered, mindfulness-based, behavioral health education programs that Lisa launched in 2013, and in the work of Create Calm, the non-profit she founded in 2016.  For more information, please visit http://www.INAwellness.com and http://www.CreateCalm.org.
