Stay on the Path of Love

Kripalu Lake

Worrying is about putting your thoughts, feelings, and planning into something you don’t want. Why waste that energy? Can you just focus on what you do want instead?

Close your eyes…take a deep breath in and out…envision your heart’s deepest desire. Now, frame that desire in a positive statement, like it’s already happening. Repeat that positive statement three times…and let it fill you.

Carry that statement with you and when your mind starts to wander down that path of worry, just bring it back here. Let your thoughts, feelings, and planning go into whatever brings you joy, peace, love.

It’s About Time

Time is Love

Choose wisely when you give your time as that is where you put your love.

When you give your time, be fully present. Give of it unconditionally.

It may serve to determine a shift in how you spend your time in the future. But for now you have chosen, directly or indirectly, to give that time.

You have invested yourself, you have brought your love, so give it fully to this experience, to this moment, and it cannot help but make the experience richer, the time more valuable, and the next investment clearer.

Time is love.

On Her Merry Way

Wild Flowers

There once was a girl who carried a bag of doubt and shame.

And, she wore a coat of her ancestors’ woes.

One day, as she walked her path, her bag fell to the ground.

The contents of the bag rolled into a patch of wild flowers, glistening with peace and love.

As she gathered the contents of her bag, a few wild flowers mixed in.

She noticed how the flowers lightened her load and at the next patch added a few more.

At the next field, she filled her coat pockets with the flowers.

…and she floated along on her merry way.

Flowers Amongst the Weeds

Garden

My stepmother, an avid gardener, once said, as I asked how she figures out which plants to pull from her garden, which ones are weeds:

The only difference, my dear, between the flowers and the weeds, is which side of the fence they grow on.

Could it be the same with our thoughts and feelings? That we are working too hard to label them, to decide what side of the fence they reside on, to determine whether they are good or bad?

Can you allow your thoughts and feelings to just be a part of who you are? All coming and going, not divided by fences, simply there in that moment. All existing as beautiful pieces of who you are, precisely planted where they should be, part of the garden that is you.

Perhaps it’s time to tear down the fence along the garden’s edge and to allow the garden to shine in the beauty and richness of all that grows there.

Be Inspired

clouds

Set an intension, a collection of a few words that will guide or inspire you to achieve your true calling – not just how to make money, win friends, or fight the battle, but how to share your unique gifts, how you will leave your mark on the world.

Let the words come to you without too much effort and then let the intension resonate through you, creating a vision, but not an obsession. Allow life forces to rally around your intension and don’t get too caught up in the planning, the how’s and why’s.  Just leap with confidence into each day, knowing that your intension bubbles up from your deepest self and can guide the most amazing, fulfilling experiences…if you just let it.

Free your inner self to guide you and let the Universe do the rest.

Make it a great week!

Whatever happens…

Baltimore Sunset cropped

Whatever happened yesterday does not decide today. Whatever happens today will not determine tomorrow.

So, at the end of the day, no matter what has happened, know that you can wake up to a whole new tomorrow.

Apologies for this not getting to you on Monday — tried an “enhanced feature” on word press to set the delivery time and it appears it didn’t work!  Happy Thursday!

Remembrance

photo-3

Love is fleeting. Beauty is passing. Joy is scattered and momentary.  Or is it?

Just because the petals of the rose fall from the stem does it mean the rose was never beautiful?

Remembrance is the power to retain the love, the beauty, the joy long after those precious moments have passed.

Hold the memories of those moments, those special people and experiences, in your mind, and close to your heart this Memorial Day…a day of remembrance.
