Whatever happened yesterday does not decide today. Whatever happens today will not determine tomorrow.
So, at the end of the day, no matter what has happened, know that you can wake up to a whole new tomorrow.
Apologies for this not getting to you on Monday — tried an “enhanced feature” on word press to set the delivery time and it appears it didn’t work! Happy Thursday!
Love is fleeting. Beauty is passing. Joy is scattered and momentary. Or is it?
Just because the petals of the rose fall from the stem does it mean the rose was never beautiful?
Remembrance is the power to retain the love, the beauty, the joy long after those precious moments have passed.
Hold the memories of those moments, those special people and experiences, in your mind, and close to your heart this Memorial Day…a day of remembrance.
Have you ever noticed how birds fly? Not just how they propel their bodies through the air so magically, but how they so effortlessly get out of each other’s way. Flying through wide open spaces in the sky, they maneuver instinctively, kindly, and gracefully as a community. Each has their assigned space, so it appears, but even when one veers off course, the group gathers in and keeps on going, supporting that one that briefly faltered. Sometimes hundreds of birds will be circling, swirling, and moving through the air at the same time — no collisions, no hurt feelings, no judgment. Every one honoring their own path and that of the birds that fly across theirs.
What would happen if we went through the hustle and bustle of our day more like birds? Instead of issuing judgment or disparaging remarks as someone flutters across your path, can you simply find another current to ride… tilt a wing…show them the way…and keep on going?
Soar on the wind with kindness and grace…and make it a great week!
There are so many wonderous experiences and gifts in your life. But it is only through appreciation that the richness, the joy, and the abundance surfaces, completing and sealing those experiences as the gifts they really are.
Become aware of one thing that you can appreciate…right now. And feel grateful.
Settle your shoulders away from your ears, slide your shoulder blades down your back, squeeze them together a little, opening your heart space. Take a deep breath in and feel a little more love.
BREATHE! BREATHE deeply! Feel your chest rise, your ribs expand…FREE your heart. Shed the coat of armor, soften and expand the space surrounding your heart. Invite deeper and more fulfilling breath into the body, and begin to heal, soften, and strengthen your heart space.
Opening the heart allows you to forgive, let go of resentment, release fear…experience more freedom, more love, more joy.
A room without a roof lets the rain in. A room without a roof lets the cold in. A room without a roof lets the sunshine in. A room without a roof lets the warmth in. A room without a roof lets it all in.
What if you were to allow yourself to be a room without a roof? To let it all in without judgment as to whether it is good or bad. Let it all simply flow in and out and perhaps you will find that there is a place and purpose for all of it, that without a roof there is no filter, no barrier, limiting what is there for you.
Never discount your contributions, your value…your YOU-ness. Share your gifts with the world, not out of vanity or to gain some return, but because they may make the difference in someone else’s life. But, you can’t be selective, sharing only some of your gifts, some of the time, as you never know for whom, when, or why your gifts will matter most.
