Our Own Selves

Own Self

Can I ask “How are you?” for the sake of simply caring?

Can I learn of your pain, your mistakes, your successes, without judging?

Can I know that your different opinions, ideas, and ways of doing things are exquisite because they are you?

Can I trust that all of your decisions are yours, not good or bad, but those necessary to lead you along the path that is you?

Can I resist the urge to selfishly invade your experience just to feel more powerful from the distant shores of my perceptions?

Can I love and respect you enough to allow you to mind your own business?

Can we all just live freely and in peace to exist in the space of our own decisions, to learn and grow in our own unique ways, and just go to work at the task of being what we were made to be…our own selves?

Focus

sunglass 1

Awareness is like a lens that allows you to choose your perspective, to decide what part of the view is clear or fuzzy.  The perspective you choose determines your story.

Wisdomful

We say we want our children to be more mindful, but aren’t they already in their minds enough?  Why don’t we encourage them instead to be more wisdomful?

Rainbows in the Sky

image

Just when you think you know what the sky holds and the clouds look like, you glance upwards and see a swirling prism glistening on the wide blue canvas above you. Then,  you remember the magnificence, the bliss, the joy that are always there for you…if you just notice.

Feel the Road

20150601_150500

When you look out the car window do you see what is to come, what you have passed, or what is there right now?  When you look in the rearview mirror, do you see what is behind you or is it right there with you?  Can you meet yourself in the space between the past and future, your experiences all merging seamlessly to create the landscape that is this present moment? Are you aimlessly passing by each moment or are you actively immersed in the experience?

See it, feel it, live it…every moment.
