Ultimate Strength

IMG_2185

Softness that bends like a blade of grass.

Truth expressed with kindness.

Reverence for all life.

Elasticity to bounce right back.

Nimbleness of a spry young nymph.

Grace that holds others hearts like a leaf catching a falling dewdrop.

Trust that actions today will yield a grander tomorrow.

Happiness in all outcomes.

Honor Who You Are

image

Whether you decide to tuck it all in tight or let it all hang out, as long as you honor your natural spirit and find joy where you are there’s nothing more you need to do.

One Place

monday-mindfulness-one-place

What if I were you and you were me?

Would we live in harmony?

Would you love me unconditionally?

Would you let my heart and mind be free

In love and light and truth and peace?

What if the I in you was the you in me?

What if there was just one place – could it be?

Where we are one, where we both just be,

Existing in the space of eternity,

As light, as love, as truth, as peace?

If there is but one place, would you go there with me?

Haseya

img_7847

Rise up.

Rise up with shining, loving spirit and compassion.

Rise up to support one another, guide one another, believe in the goodness of each other, and thrive together.

Rise up and celebrate our goodness, our power to heal, with the knowledge that we have it all, it already innately exists within each of us.  There is nothing more we need to do than to let that be our reality.

Rise up in the power of love.

Rise up.

The word “haseya” comes from the Navajo people, the language Dine, and means to rise up, to come together across cultures and divisions, to heal the pain that separates us from one another and the Earth.  To call upon the wisdom of our ancestors and the knowledge we hold within us to awaken a healing space for ourselves and our world.

Do More…Try Less

img_1032When I “try” I am saying “a part of this doesn’t resonate with me.”

When I am “trying” I enter a space of potential failure, guilt, or shame.

Trying creates a river of resistance.

Instead, I think I will simply choose to “do” – do what feels right, do what I can do, do what resonates as what I am supposed to do.

Do without resistance.

Enough

Know that your kindness, your happiness, and your goodness are what sparkles and shines in this world…and that IS enough.

Hard Work

img_0460

Compassion, peace, and calm cannot be forced.  One cannot demand that someone be compassionate.  One cannot command peace and calm.  Rather, one must model it, live it, and know that the path to peace in ourselves and others is a steady process of balancing ego and replacing envy and judgment with love and inspiration.  And that is the hard work that we must individually choose to do.

Dance in the Darkness

flaming-upwards

No matter that anger laps at your feet,

No matter that fear and distrust appear to form walls around you,

No matter that hope feels smothered,

Spiral upwards, out of the ashes of perceived despair,

Fill the air with compassion.

As long as the flames of compassion dance,

We can know only peace and joy.
