Step outside predictable.

beginSpontaneity, not to be confused with impulsiveness, is the ability to allow your inner guidance system to lead you to take appropriate action without hesitation to achieve the greatest benefit for you and those around you, regardless of any set plan.  Step outside predictable.  Exercise your creativity and welcome the joy and fulfillment that comes with true and clear present moment awareness.

When the Storm Rolls In

when-the-storm-rolls-in

When the storm rolls in, do you spread your branches and invite it in?

Do you tingle with anticipation as the wind presses against your skin?

As the sky darkens and clouds cluster, do you marvel at their majestic dance?

Do you breathe in the energy, feel the power, as it slowly builds its strength?

Do you know the humble quiet of just watching that storm grow?

Flashes of light, ripples of rumble, dewy droplets in the sky.

As it slowly wraps around you, can you hold peace in your heart and know your courage and your own might to welcome whatever it may bring?

There is the storm

and there is you.

Inner Guidance

img_0684

How is it flowers know just what to do?  How to sprout leaves and open themselves up so unconditionally to the world?  Is it trust?  Courage? Or the lack of interference from fear and doubt as they engage their inner guidance system?  Imagine a world where everyone were as open and intuitive as a flower.

Haseya

img_7847

Rise up.

Rise up with shining, loving spirit and compassion.

Rise up to support one another, guide one another, believe in the goodness of each other, and thrive together.

Rise up and celebrate our goodness, our power to heal, with the knowledge that we have it all, it already innately exists within each of us.  There is nothing more we need to do than to let that be our reality.

Rise up in the power of love.

Rise up.

The word “haseya” comes from the Navajo people, the language Dine, and means to rise up, to come together across cultures and divisions, to heal the pain that separates us from one another and the Earth.  To call upon the wisdom of our ancestors and the knowledge we hold within us to awaken a healing space for ourselves and our world.

Enough

buddha-see-hear-speak-no-evil

Know that your kindness, your happiness, and your goodness are what sparkles and shines in this world…and that IS enough.

Hard Work

img_0460

Compassion, peace, and calm cannot be forced.  One cannot demand that someone be compassionate.  One cannot command peace and calm.  Rather, one must model it, live it, and know that the path to peace in ourselves and others is a steady process of balancing ego and replacing envy and judgment with love and inspiration.  And that is the hard work that we must individually choose to do.

Forever

image.jpegRight outside the door of my heart

Sit two comfy chairs,

Where we once laughed and loved together.

Sometimes those chairs seem empty.

Then I remind myself…

They are abundantly full,

Full of the memories I have of you, of us, of our laughter and our love,

And then, I smile because that I know will last forever.

To know unconditionally is one thing.

To love unconditionally is another.

Everyday Zen

spiraling-1

Spiraling upwards.

Energy lifting.

Feeling so blissful.

Finding my joy.

Sensing my balance.

Knowing my strength.

Freeing myself to be me.
