Remember, my friend, you have a heart and a mind. The mind keeps us safe, the heart keeps us real.
I know that whatever you do will be meaningful and magnificent as long as you keep your heart in it and your ego out of it.

Let the music play, the beat tuned to the flow of my breath and the rhythm of my heart.
I am the amazing conductor of the orchestra of my life.
Its sound perfectly tuned.
Its measure justly syncopated.
Its harmony divinely aligned.
Oh, how lovely the notes and tones come together when I mindfully raise my baton with a smile and create just the right pulse and rhythm on which this ensemble plays on just for me.

Perspective is everything.
Perspective applies the lens, tells the story, creates the experience, leaves the memory, defines impressions and molds beliefs.
Is it time to change the lens?

What is my true purpose?
To make great food?
To see and nurture the gifts in others?
To tread gently in this world?
To marvel at the rain?
To be joyful?
To care for the who that I am?
To know peace?
To live in love?
Yes. Yes, indeed.
My true purpose is to align my doing with my being and to act with vision, intention, and determination.

When the storm rolls in, do you spread your branches and invite it in?
Do you tingle with anticipation as the wind presses against your skin?
As the sky darkens and clouds cluster, do you marvel at their majestic dance?
Do you breathe in the energy, feel the power, as it slowly builds its strength?
Do you know the humble quiet of just watching that storm grow?
Flashes of light, ripples of rumble, dewy droplets in the sky.
As it slowly wraps around you, can you hold peace in your heart and know your courage and your own might to welcome whatever it may bring?
There is the storm
and there is you.

Practice spontaneity…not reckless abandon…rather transfer the decision making to your higher self. Let your intuition choose what comes next and experience the ultimate form and expression of your creativity.

Rise up.
Rise up with shining, loving spirit and compassion.
Rise up to support one another, guide one another, believe in the goodness of each other, and thrive together.
Rise up and celebrate our goodness, our power to heal, with the knowledge that we have it all, it already innately exists within each of us. There is nothing more we need to do than to let that be our reality.
Rise up in the power of love.
Rise up.
The word “haseya” comes from the Navajo people, the language Dine, and means to rise up, to come together across cultures and divisions, to heal the pain that separates us from one another and the Earth. To call upon the wisdom of our ancestors and the knowledge we hold within us to awaken a healing space for ourselves and our world.

Happy is a frame of mind…Joy a state of being.

Compassion, peace, and calm cannot be forced. One cannot demand that someone be compassionate. One cannot command peace and calm. Rather, one must model it, live it, and know that the path to peace in ourselves and others is a steady process of balancing ego and replacing envy and judgment with love and inspiration. And that is the hard work that we must individually choose to do.

No matter that anger laps at your feet,
No matter that fear and distrust appear to form walls around you,
No matter that hope feels smothered,
Spiral upwards, out of the ashes of perceived despair,
Fill the air with compassion.
As long as the flames of compassion dance,
We can know only peace and joy.
