finding the way

Rain pounds down on the door of the earth.

The soil parts, making way for movement.

Creatures on the move rise to the surface.

Suddenly the water rushes in carrying us to unfamiliar spaces.

Momentarily stunned with uncertainty this new uncomfortable vantage point becomes home.

Gradually settling into a new way of being and heading in a new direction provided solely by the force of another.

Sensing the way, knowing now a different path.

Facing challenges and significant dangers, but moving forward just the same… determined to make good on this shift.

With the pouring rain comes fresh possibilities to establish new pattens, make new discoveries, test adaptability, and make good in the face of adversity.

Going the Distance

I feel your heart beating next to mine even though miles away.

I know your moments of pain and sorrow even without hearing you cry.

On the gentle breeze that blows, I encounter great waves of relief, joy, and peace as they ebb and flow in you.

Even out of site I know you are there.

We may be physically distanced, but energetically, emotionally, socially, we are closer than ever before.

Physical distancing,

Social connecting.

Today we may just be closer than ever before.

The Real Heal

You can’t fake healing. It’s gotta come from the heart, filled with love and kindness and an unconditional knowing you are worthy of wellness.

You must believe that you are worthy of wellness…always you are worthy of wellness.

Rainbows in the Sky

image

Just when you think you know what the sky holds and the clouds look like, you glance upwards and see a swirling prism glistening on the wide blue canvas above you. Then,  you remember the magnificence, the bliss, the joy that are always there for you…if you just notice.

On Her Merry Way

Wild Flowers

There once was a girl who carried a bag of doubt and shame.

And, she wore a coat of her ancestors’ woes.

One day, as she walked her path, her bag fell to the ground.

The contents of the bag rolled into a patch of wild flowers, glistening with peace and love.

As she gathered the contents of her bag, a few wild flowers mixed in.

She noticed how the flowers lightened her load and at the next patch added a few more.

At the next field, she filled her coat pockets with the flowers.

…and she floated along on her merry way.

Whatever happens…

Baltimore Sunset cropped

Whatever happened yesterday does not decide today. Whatever happens today will not determine tomorrow.

So, at the end of the day, no matter what has happened, know that you can wake up to a whole new tomorrow.

Apologies for this not getting to you on Monday — tried an “enhanced feature” on word press to set the delivery time and it appears it didn’t work!  Happy Thursday!

Celebrate Every Day Like It’s Your Birthday

Celebrate Every Day

Every day, heaven and earth celebrate the gift of you, so why shouldn’t you?

Let every day contain the same wonder and awe that came with you as you entered this world.

Revel in all that you see, be grateful for all that you encounter, and live every moment fully.

Let every day be the gift that it was intended to be.  There is no question the world would not be what it is without you.

So, celebrate the greatness of you…every day.
